CONGRATULATIONS TO ROBERT SPEZIALE
2011 JERRY R. GOLDSMITH AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE RECIPIENT

Invetech's Robert Speziale has been recognized by the Diagnostic Marketing Association (DxMA) with the Jerry R. Goldsmith Award for Excellence. The Award recognizes contributions made by an individual that impact the growth of the Diagnostic Marketing Association and industry as a whole. Mr. Brian Durkin, President of the DxMA and Vice President at Instrumentation Laboratories presented the Goldsmith Award to Mr. Speziale at the DxMA Annual Dinner in San Diego, CA.

A prominent body within the Diagnostic industry, the DxMA works to build leadership by providing industry knowledge, professional development and a venue for the exchange of ideas. The award confirms Robert as a valuable resource in helping to advance the agenda of the DxMA and providing leadership to the DxMA, as well as the diagnostic industry, in general. Mr. Speziale has been a member of the DxMA and its predecessor, the Biomedical Marketing Association (BMA) for 30 years. In that time he has served in a number of positions on the Board of Directors and most recently as Vice President for Programs.

Robert has more than 35 years experience in diagnostic, medical, research and instrumentation business development, marketing and sales. He started his career as a microbiologist in Boston. He moved on to join the Division of American Home Products (now Wyeth Pharmaceuticals) as a microbiology technical representative in the microbial identification field. Robert also held a succession of positions of increasing responsibility with Otisville Biotech, Orgenics International Corporation, the New York Blood Center, and Tomtec before joining Invetech as Vice President for Business Development.
Since joining Invetech in 2005, Robert has helped guide client companies through the product development journey, including design for manufacture and production planning. Robert has also worked with a number of leaders in cell therapy to address commercial strategy and apply modern tools for manufacturing innovation to a number of bioprocesses.
